Child Safety Standards

Social Live has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our standards and how we enforce them.

What is prohibited

Any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child is banned on Social Live: CSAM in any form (live video, screen shares, images, audio or messages), grooming, sextortion, soliciting or arranging contact with a minor, and sharing links to such material. This applies in live rooms, chat, direct messages, calls and profiles.

Adults only

Social Live is for people aged 18 or older. Every account must confirm its age at sign-up, and a birthdate under 18 is refused. Accounts we find to belong to a minor are closed.

How to report

In the app: long-press any message, or open any profile, and choose Report. You can also block anyone instantly, and hosts can mute or remove people from their rooms. To report directly, email hello@social-live.app with "Child safety" in the subject.

What we do

Child-safety reports go to the front of our moderation queue and are acted on immediately. We end the live room or remove the content, permanently ban the account and revoke its sessions, and preserve the evidence.

Reporting to authorities

We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and law enforcement, as required by applicable law, and we cooperate with lawful requests from them.

Child safety contact

Our designated contact for child-safety matters, including questions from app stores, regulators and law enforcement, is hello@social-live.app. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
